FAQ
How do you accept payment?
A. My preferred methods of payment are cash or E-transfer. If you prefer a cheque, make sure it is made out to 'Tianna Schmaltz' rather than my business name.
Do you travel?
A. Yes! I am primarily based out of Carrot River, Saskatchewan. However, if you are interested in travel, mileage will be incorporated. Depending on how far the travel is and what my schedule looks like, I may have to turn down some shoots but just reach out! Chances are I will be able to somehow make it work!
Do you require deposits?
A. Yes! A $50 retainer is required for general shoots and a $500 retainer is required for wedding bookings.
What is your cancelation policy?
A. If you have to cancel or reschedule, the retainer fee will be forfeited or used towards the next session.
What are the options for receiving galleries?
A. My first choice is using an online gallery. This will be sent directly to your email. Due to space, there will be an expiry date but you will have lots of time and warning before your photos expire. An alternative option is a USB. This option will cost $25 on top of your session fee and it is yours for you to keep forever.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
A. Definitely! Assuming my schedule isn't back-to-back, I'm lenient with my session times. Sometimes they will be only 30 minutes, while other times they can take 2 hours. It all depends on the day and the client!
Do I have to fill out a contract prior to the shoot?
A. Yes! I have a client contract that needs to be filled out for legal purposes.
Will there be a second shooter?
A. Yes! I hate the thought of something going wrong or missing an important moment. Often I have my boyfriend or my sister second shoot with my second camera. Don't worry! They have both worked with me lots and are incredibly talented as well.
Can I order prints through you?
A. I do have a print store attached to all the galleries. Be sure to check it out!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
A. I haven't yet but I would LOVE to! However, I would have to get more information on how all of this works for legal purposes. I would definitely be up for the adventure!!
What is your favourite type of photoshoot?
A. My all time favourite shoots are graduation shoots! I love capturing all the beautiful dresses and sharp-looking suits. It is such an important milestone and I love being able to add another wonderful memory to their collection!
